Interview with Noémie Sauve, an artist from Paris who draws, sculpts and paints. In residence aboard the schooner Tara for a month and a half, from Whangarei (New Zealand) to Nouméa (New Caledonia), Noémie evokes several lines of future work, one of which particularly marked the crew: fluorescence. Some species of plankton produce fluorescence naturally for purposes of defense, feeding, or breeding. Noémie Sauve uses fluorescence in her drawings to infuse life into the fish caught as part of the Tara Pacific scientific expedition.
