At the end of 2019, Tara returned to her home port in Lorient after a 6-month scientific mission through the main rivers & estuaries of Europe, tracing the origins of micro-plastic pollution. After a séjour in Lorient (Brittany) for renovation, the schooner headed to Paris in early 2020. An emotional event, when Tara’s old mainsail had to be replaced. But at the Tara Ocean Foundation nothing is lost, everything is transformed: we collaborated with the German brand 8 Beaufort, to create sneakers that recycle this sail, full of history and adventure!
Become the Greek god Hermes, with more than 130,000 kms and almost 10 years of expeditions at your feet. Relive part of the scientific missions Tara Oceans, Polar Circle, Tara Méditerranée, Tara Pacific and the Microplastics Mission 2019, thanks to these unique sneakers. In an ultra limited edition, from size 36 to 45.
